Our Mission is to make the Web3 Landscape safer for all

In response to the growing cybersecurity incidents in the Web3 ecosystem, the Bharat Web3 Association (BWA) aims to bring together an alliance of Web3 firms, which will not only focus on mitigating scams but also promote a safer and more transparent ecosystem for all stakeholders. Initially focused on India, the alliance will grow to include global Web3 companies and industry associations.

In addition to raising awareness and working to prevent scams within the ecosystem, the alliance will also focus on tracking stolen/lost funds through wallet IDs, forming an essential aspect of the alliance’s operations, strengthening its overall efforts to ensure security and accountability.

Key Initiatives

The alliance will strive to establish a framework that guarantees security for everyone, while also fostering awareness and sharing insights from the field to address existing gaps.

Scam Reporting Portal


The alliance will work to develop a centralized platform where members can report fraudulent activities, which will be monitored and reviewed by a team of cybersecurity professionals. This will also include a Common Blacklist for Users, Entities, with addresses being collated from participants.

Partnerships and Data Sharing

The alliance will seek to build partnerships with crypto analytics firms to track stolen assets. Further, a transparent protocol can be developed for members to share real-time information about scams.

Collaboration with Law enforcement

The alliance will work will strive to work with law enforcement agencies to fast-track investigations of scams and identify bad actors in the ecosystem.

Collaborating to track stolen funds

The alliance will build partnerships with blockchain analytics firms and other cybersecurity institutions to track stolen user funds. This initiative will assist affected platforms in potentially recovering stolen funds.

The alliance aims to fortify security and trust within the ecosystem by pooling resources to implement robust security protocols and scam prevention strategies. It will empower users and investors through targeted education on evolving scam techniques, security measures, and risk mitigation via digital channels.

By standardizing industry-wide best practices for scam detection and reporting, the alliance promotes a unified approach. Collaborating closely with regulatory bodies such as MeitY, State Cybercrime Cells, CERT-In, I4C, and FIU-IND, it seeks to foster trust and accountability.

Members will share real-time insights to enhance scam detection, while efforts to trace stolen funds, led by the BWA CISO Subcommittee in partnership with crypto analytics firms, will further strengthen safeguards.

Membership in the Alliance will be open to all relevant stakeholders with no entry fee, with each member being encouraged to contribute according to their area of expertise, fostering a collaborative effort.

Members will be expected to determine representation based on who is best placed to make decisions on the topics under discussion.

As the alliance grows, certain key individuals will also be invited to provide guidance on implementing the alliance’s objectives.
